Little-known fact, honeybee colonies make decisions collectively, democratically. When faced with a decision, scouts gather information and return to the hive to perform a waggle dance. Their enthusiasm is measured by the vibrancy of their dance, while specific information about content is contained in the direction they face and the number of loops in the infinity pattern they follow. I hope to create more or less the same stock of collective knowledge through a more standard human approach, polling. Here’s the first!
